Steinway Cabinet Prep

Pianos are veneered in special cuts of mahogany, walnut, rosewood, cherry and other fine woods. Veneers are thin slices of wood glued to the solid core woods. Hand stripping with non-wax strippers allows us to control the amount of time these beautiful woods are exposed to harsh chemicals.

Upright Cabinet Repairs

After careful hand stripping the woods and woods pores are cleaned and flushed. A thorough hand sanding follows, and the chips, scratches, and dents are filled. Loose veneers are re-glued; badly damaged veneers are replaced.
